Men’s & Women’s Ministry
Men’s Ministry
Our men’s ministry aims to serve men in the following ways:
Connecting
The commute is long, work is demanding, family life is tiring and as a result, it’s all too easy to neglect our Christian friendships. Monthly socials and termly ‘specials’ provide specific times for men to connect and to get to know one another better. Knowing each other well enables us to support each other in prayer and to encourage each other to live distinctive Christian lives.
Equipping
We are equipped to serve and grow in the likeness of Christ through the Bible teaching we receive on Sundays and through our Bible studies at Life Group. To further equip men we also have regular Men’s Breakfasts where we cover topics such as work and leading the family, hear testimony from one another, develop our Bible-handling skills, pray together and serve one another by taking it in turns to cook breakfast.
Reaching
We want to help men at King’s reach out to those around them by clearly speaking the good news about Jesus. We seek to encourage and support each other in our evangelism, praying for and befriending each other’s unbelieving friends and family, and by running evangelistic events where the gospel is clearly explained.

Women’s Ministry
At King’s we long for women to know and love the Lord Jesus more, and to live distinctively for Him in the home, at work, at the school gate or in a local sports club. That means our women’s ministry is marked by three things…
Learning from God’s word
We meet together as a Life Group on a Friday morning to study the Bible, encourage one another and pray. We also run termly events, seeking to apply God’s Word explicitly to us as women. We recently had a morning looking at prayer, when we thought about what a privilege it is to pray and how God works through our prayers.
Sharing life
We actively encourage women to develop gospel-centred friendships, marked by love and mutual support. These relationships are grown by meeting together at Life Group, Sundays, and sharing life together throughout the week. We express them as we carry each other’s burdens, practically serve others’ needs, and speak the truth to one another in love.
Evangelism
We also want to help women at King’s to speak of the good news of Jesus to their friends, family and colleagues. Primarily we do this by encouraging each other in our personal evangelism through prayer and sharing experiences. Another way we do this is by running fun evangelistic events, where our friends can hear the gospel clearly explained.
