Sunday at 3
At 3pm on Sunday afternoons we meet together as a whole church family to sing, pray, and listen to the Bible read and taught. We usually have groups for children. Everyone is welcome!
People of different ages, backgrounds, and stages of the Christian life join us on a Sunday afternoon, and all our gatherings have a relaxed feel. We also love being joined by those who wouldn’t call themselves followers of Jesus, but are interested in finding out more.
Plan Your Visit
It’s safe to say coming to church, maybe for the first time in your life, can seem quite daunting. So we’d love to help you feel relaxed not just at church, but in the lead-up to it too. Here are some things that might be useful to know for your visit to King’s:
Where To Go
As we don’t have our own church building, we’re fortunate to meet in another church, Christ Church Guildford. Located in central Guildford, there is a car park and parking available on nearby streets. The church is also very close to one of Guildford’s train stations and many bus stops. The button below will take you to a page that has more information about where we meet and how to get there:
When to Arrive
The more formal part of our gathering starts at 3pm (although we might be a few minutes late sometimes!). We ask people to take their seats a minute or so before the start. Do leave enough time in your travel arrangements to park, as the car park can get quite busy sometimes.
What To Expect
Before the Service
You will be greeted by one or two of our welcome team at the main door to the church, where they will invite you in and offer you a Bible, paper for notes and a pen if you want those.
During the Service
The service usually lasts for just over an hour. You will be led by a member of the church from the front and they will tell you all that’s going on in the service. We sing a few songs, hear the bible read and taught to us and kids are invited to go to their own groups about 15 minutes into the service. If it’s their first time, the parents will need to fill in a consent form.
After the Service
Our more formal meeting might have ended, but our gathering still continues Enjoy tea, coffee and biscuits in the hall next door. If you don’t need to rush off, we’d love to chat to you more over refreshments.
