Plan Your Visit

It’s safe to say coming to church, maybe for the first time in your life, can seem quite daunting. So we’d love to help you feel relaxed not just at church, but in the lead-up to it too. Here are some things that might be useful to know for your visit to King’s:

Where To Go

We don’t own a traditional church building at King’s, so when we meet together throughout the week to catch-up, read the Bible and pray, we do so at a variety of locations.

For our Sunday services and our monthly prayer meetings, we meet at: Christ Church Guildford, 23 Waterden Road, Guildford, GU1 2AZ. If there is a venue change, a notice will appear on the website and on our social media.

Located in central Guildford, Christ Church Guildford has a car park and there is parking available on nearby streets. The church is also very close to one of Guildford’s train stations and many bus stops.

For our other gatherings, use the ‘What We Do’ menu to browse our regular meetings and groups, like our Life Groups, to find out when and where they meet.  You can also look at our church calendar, which gives the times and locations of all our meetings and events. If you need more information please do not hesitate to contact us.

When to Arrive

The more formal part of our gathering starts at 3pm (although we might be a few minutes late sometimes!). We ask people to take their seats a minute or so before the start. Do leave enough time in your travel arrangements to park, as the car park can get quite busy sometimes.

What To Expect

Before the Service

You will be greeted by one or two of our welcome team at the main door to the church, where they will invite you in and offer you a Bible, paper for notes and a pen if you want those.

During the Service

The service usually lasts for just over an hour. You will be led by a member of the church from the front and they will tell you all that’s going on in the service. We sing a few songs, hear the bible read and taught to us and kids are invited to go to their own groups about 15 minutes into the service. If it’s their first time, the parents will need to fill in a consent form.

After the Service

Our more formal meeting might have ended, but our gathering still continues! Enjoy tea, coffee and biscuits in the hall next door. If you don’t need to rush off, we’d love to chat to you more over refreshments.
