Women’s Ministry
At King’s we long for women to know and love the Lord Jesus more, and to live distinctively for Him in the home, at work, at the school gate or in a local sports club. That means our women’s ministry is marked by three things…
Learning from God’s word
We meet together as a Life Group on a Friday morning to study the Bible, encourage one another and pray. We also run termly events, seeking to apply God’s Word explicitly to us as women. We recently had a morning looking at prayer, when we thought about what a privilege it is to pray and how God works through our prayers.
Sharing life
We actively encourage women to develop gospel-centred friendships, marked by love and mutual support. These relationships are grown by meeting together at Life Group, Sunday at 3, and sharing life together throughout the week. We express them as we carry each other’s burdens, practically serve others’ needs, and speak the truth to one another in love.
Evangelism
We also want to help women at King’s to speak of the good news of Jesus to their friends, family and colleagues. Primarily we do this by encouraging each other in our personal evangelism through prayer and sharing experiences. Another way we do this is by running fun evangelistic events, where our friends can hear the gospel clearly explained.
